The Rusty Hook Tavern can be summed up as follows: modern American cuisine, locally brewed beers and cocktails, and a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is a neighborhood favorite for bringing friends together around the table.
The three owners have several years of experience in catering and numerous titles and awards between them. The head chef, Nader, used to work at celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey’s Cielo restaurant. The second owner, Andy, takes good care of guests. He befriended Nader during his time as Cielo’s senior manager. Last but not least, Kareem, the third owner, oversees cocktails and beverages. His Moroccan background comes through in his refreshing concoctions. He was awarded Best Mixologist by the Sun-Sentinel in 2009.
A special feature at The Rusty Hook Tavern is their fabulous wood and stone oven, in which all of the cooking is done. An impressive selection of local fish and seafood (tuna, mahi-mahi, swordfish, and lobster) is presented daily in this restaurant located on the Intracoastal Waterway.
During Sunday brunch, The Rusty Hook Tavern features live acoustic music.
