Founded in 1919 by Dr. Henry Nehrling, the Naples Zoo is a non-profit organization that works to preserve nature and endangered animals. More than a regular zoo, this tropical garden offers a full day of wildlife experiences. Come feed giraffes by hand and enjoy the daily presentations where guides feed the giant reptiles at Alligator Bay.
Visit Jungle Larry & Safari Jane’s Snakes Alive with poisonous snakes and enjoy live video camera presentations at the Safari Canyon Theater where you will see exotic predators and other rare species. One of the zoo’s most popular activities is the Primate Expedition Cruise in which you embark on a guided tour through the habitat of monkeys and lemurs! You can also catch a glimpse of your favorite animals, such as lions and zebras, and a host of rare species, such as the fossa of Madagascar and the Parma wallaby.
