Owner Mark McCarty has a passion for wildlife. He has traveled the world to learn all about animals living in the wild. Motivated his love for these animals and backed by his 30 years of experience, he now manages a wildlife sanctuary. The park welcomes visitors and educates the public on rehabilitated and injured animals.
The place has two missions: rehabilitation and awareness. Mark and his team take care of wild animals that need shelter or rehabilitation, following abandonment or mistreatment. They also offer outreach programs on animals, allowing the public to discover unknown and feared species.
Unlike a conventional zoo, this animal sanctuary houses more than 170 animals permanently, mostly reptiles, birds and big cats. Take a guided tour to view the animals in their habitat.
Informative sessions led by Mark himself are also offered. He introduces the animals one by one to teach you about them. You will have the chance to touch and hold the animals and take pictures. It’s not every day that you can get up close to a tarantula, an albino Burmese python, a venomous monster Gala, a lemur, a Siberian lynx or a barred owl! To enjoy the session you must book a good month in advance.
